Sharon Kelly was born in Wiltshire 1960.

She moved to Ireland in 1983 and studied at the University of Ulster, gaining a BA ( Hons) Fine Art 1986 and MA Fine Art in 1989.

Sharon’s work explores the nature of human experience; presence absence and loss using drawn image, sound and video. Much of her work is generated from personal experience as starting points for ideas explored within a wider social context.

Her work has been exhibited extensively in Ireland, UK, France, Poland, Canada and USA. She has been the recepient of numerous national and international awards.

Sharon lives and works in Belfast.
